Sonu Niigam is often referred to as India's best playback singer and as the Golden Voice of Indipop but he has proved time and again that he is a complete musician and an institution in himself with extra-ordinary talent and a voice to die for.

Biography:

Sonu Niigam is one of India's best and most successful playback singer. He has sung songs on numerous Hindi movies as well as in Punjabi, Bengali, Marathi, Urdu, Nepali, Chhattisgarhi, Marathi and Kannada language. He has released many indi-pop albums which turned out to be great sellers in the market. His fan following is most amongst the youth,

Sonu Nigam began his singing career at the age of three, when he joined his father on stage to sing Mohammad Rafi's "Kya Hua Tera Vaada, Wo Kasam Wo Irada." From then on Sonu accompanied his father on his singing appearances at weddings and parties. In his teenage years he won several music competitions. He began his Bollywood singing career at the age of 19.

Initially Sonu's style was regarded as a 'Rafi Clone'. But he did manage to remove that tag. Nigam's first movie song as a playback singer was in the film Janam (1990), which was never officially released. He soon got a break in television with the popular TV show Sa Re Ga Ma, after which there was no turning back. He was trained by Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan, a very fine classical singer.

He sang songs like "Accha Sila Diya" on the album Bewafa Sanam (1995), which was very successful. His claim to fame was the song "Sandese Aate Hain," in Border in 1997 which gave him a top place in the industry.

Over the years, Sonu has proved himself at several levels. He is the most sought after singer in the industry. His rendition of the title song of the film Kal Ho Na Ho has been highly popular and is considered a modern legend of sorts. He has a versatile voice, with his voice and has the capabilities of singing all kinds of songs, be it romantic, rock, sad, patriotic and other songs of various genres.

Personal Life:

Sonu Nigam comes from a singing family. Born to Agam Kumar Nigam and Shobha Nigam, he attended the J.D. Tytler School. He has two sisters, Meenal and Neekita. Neekita is also an upcoming singer and has several songs and awards to her name, both in Hindi and Kannada. Sonu married Madhurima on 15 February 2002. They have a four-year-old son, Nevaan. Nevaan is also very interested in music and has recently recorded a song with Lata Mangeshkar.

FGovinda's mother, Nazeem who was Muslim had converted to Hinduism and adopted the name Nirmala Devi. Govinda's father Arun and Nirmala first met during the making of the film Savera, in which they were cast opposite each other. They married in 1941.

Govinda studied in an engineering college at Lahore. Veteran producer Mehboob Khan brought him to Mumbai in 1937 and cast him in Ek Hi Raasta as the leading man.

The only film Ahuja ever produced was a flop. Unable to bear the loss, his health failed. The family, living in a bungalow on Mumbai's upmarket Carter Road, later moved to Virar. Since his father was unable to work, Nirmala Devi brought up the children through hard times in Mumbai.

Govinda had great success with family based movies such as Dariya Dil(1988),Swarg(1990)and Hum(1991).He worked with David Dhawan for the first time in the 1989 action film Taaqatwar. The couple has two children, Narmada and Yashvardhan.

Controversy:

The first incident occurred when the actor slapped an onlooker on the sets of the movie Money Hai to Honey Hai (2008). The onlooker had apparently trespassed into the shooting area and refused to leave even when Govinda requested him to do so. The actor lost his cool and slapped him. The incident died down as the onlooker quickly left the sets and did not file any complaint.

The second slap generated even more controversy as this time Govinda's victim was none other than the director of the movie for which he was shooting. The actor was shooting for the movie Do Lucky. As per the script, Govinda was to be slapped by his co-star Aryan Vaid. However, the slap he received from Aryan Vaid was so hard that the actor was furious. Media reports stated that he walked up to the director Neeraj Vora, slapped him and stormed out leaving a stunned set behind him

Ritesh Deshmukh is often seen in comedy films or in supporting roles. He is much known for his performance in Masti, Dhamaal and Heyy Babyy.

Biography:

Ritesh Deshmukh is the son of Vilasrao Deshmukh, the Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Government of India, and the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

Ritesh made his debut in 2003 with Tujhe Meri Kasam co-starring Genelia D'souza which performed average at the box office.

He became a known face after the 2004 comedy Masti, again co-starring Genelia, which established him as a supporting actor.

He has appeared in several comedy films including Kyaa Kool Hai Hum, Malamaal Weekly and Apna Sapna Money Money. He appeared in a supporting role in Bluffmaster! with Abhishek Bachchan in the lead. He was also seen in Ram Gopal Verma's Darna Zaroori Hai.

In2007 he appeared in Sajid Khan's directorial debut Heyy Babyy, co-starring Akshay Kumar and Fardeen Khan, which was a huge hit and is his most commercially successful film to date. Th same year he also appeared in the comedy film Dhamaal in 2007.

In 2009, his first release was Aladin, co-starring Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Jacqueline Fernandez. He then played a supporting role in Ram Gopal Varma's Rann, again co-starring Amitabh Bachchan, Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav.

His final film of 2009 was Do Knot Disturb along with Govinda, Sushmita Sen, Sohail Khan and Lara Dutta. In 2010, he once again worked with Sajid Khan on the comedy Housefull along with Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Lara Dutta, Arjun Rampal and Jiah Khan which was a box office success.

His first release of 2011 was F.A.L.T.U., where he played a school principal named Bajirao. His second release of the year was the comedy Double Dhamaal, a sequel to the 2006 film Dhamaal.

He is currently working on another sequel, Housefull 2.

Personal Life:

He was often been linked with Genelia D'Souza ever since they starred together in their debut film Tujhe Meri Kasam in 2003. They were reportedly ready to get engaged, but Ritesh's father, Vilasrao Deshmukh did not agree. Ever since they had strongly denied any rumors about their relationship and respond that they are just friends.

Biography:

Sunny Deol was born in New Delhi, India, to veteran actor Dharmendra and Prakash Kaur. He has a younger brother, Bobby Deol, who is also an actor, and two half-sisters, Esha Deol, an actress and Ahana Deol, from his father's re-marriage to famous actress Hema Malini.

He always wanted to be an actor but being the son of the famous actor, Dharmendra, it was difficult being treated normal, so he went to England to study acting. He joined theater called the Old Web Theater in Brimingham, England where he studied theatre and acting. By the time he came back to India, he was ready to face the camera.

Sunny made his acting debut in the blockbuster movie Betaab in 1983. A series of movies followed and though plenty of box office failures among them, many of his films in the action genre including Tridev (1989), Ghayal (1990), Vishwatma (1992), Imtihaan (1995), Ghatak (1996) and Border (1998) were some of the biggest hits of his career.

He has also had success in romantic and dramatic roles in films including Chaalbaaz (1989), Damini (1993), Darr (1993), Jeet (1996) and Gadar: Ek Prem Katha (2001). Sunny Deol has also tried his hand at direction with the (1999) film Dillagi starring himself and younger brother Bobby Deol & Urmila Matondkar.The film wasn't a box Office success.

Sunny made an appearance alongside Dharmendra and Bobby Deol in Apne (2007) and then yet again in Yamla Pagla Deewana (2011) which was one of the biggest success of the year.

He is currently filming for Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru's I Love New Year opposite Kangana Ranaut, which is due for release on 23 December 2011. Sunny Deol announced sequel of their 1990 blockbuster Ghayal named Ghayal Returns. He will began shoot in September for Ghayal Returns.

Biography:

Sanjay Dutt was born to Sunil Dutt and Nargis.

Sanjay Duttt made his Bollywood movie debut with Rocky in 1981. Although the film did well, it failed to promote him as an established actor. In the 1990s he acted in films such as Sadak and Khoon Ka Karz. In 1991 he starred in movie Saajan which did a good business.

His performance in Khal Nayak was critically acclaimed and was praised by one and all. In 1999's Vaastav: The Reality, he finally won his first Filmfare Best Actor Award.

In the 2000s Dutt acted in many films such as Mission Kashmir, Jodi No.1, Hathyar, Kaante, Munna Bhai M.B.B.S, Dus, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Shootout at Lokhandwala, Dhamaal, Blue (2009), All The Best: Fun Begins and Knockout (2010).

He is all set to make his debut as a producer with the film Rascals, and Khotey Sikkey under the banner of Sanjay Dutt Productions Pvt Ltd.

Personal Life:

Sanjay Dutt married actress Richa Sharma in 1987. Sharma died of brain tumor on 10 December 1996. The couple has a daughter, Trishala, born in 1989, who lives in the United States. His second marriage was to model Rhea Pillai in 1998. They divorced in 2005. Dutt married Manyata in 2008, after two years of dating. On 21 October 2010, he became a father to twins, a boy named Shahraan and a girl named Iqra.

Controversy:

Sanjay Dutt has spent 16 months in jail as an under trial until he was granted bail in October 1995 by the Supreme Court of India. He was accused for terrorist interactions, and supposed weapons possession, on 19 April 1993, Sanjay was arrested under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities Act (TADA).

In March 2006, when framing muthar charges against extradited Abu Salem and co-accused Riyaz Siddiqui in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts case, the prosecution said that Salem delivered 9 AK-56 rifles and some hand grenades to actor Sanjay Dutt at his Bandra house in the second week of January 1993.
